Charles Aggouras, president of Weston-based GFC Development, said his firm is building several two- to eight-unit projects in Boston, Cambridge and Somerville.
In Jamaica Plain, the company has approvals for two adjoining zero-energy townhouses as part of Boston’s Energy Positive Green Building Demonstration Program, a residential initiative to bring environmentally-friendly homes to Boston’s neighborhoods.
Aggouras said inventory is low for condominiums and single-family homes in Boston, creating a market for home builders. At press time, the MLS Property Information Network listed 134 single-family homes for sale and 344 condominiums under $350,000. “We see it as an opportunity,” he said.
